The Weekend
The venue is available to us from Friday at 12:00 until Sunday at 19:30, so we'll have the whole weekend together.
Friday — Set up
We'll be getting everything ready for the ceremony and setting up the venue for the big day. If you're staying at the venue, this is when the weekend begins — come along, settle in and lend a hand if you fancy it.
Saturday — The big day
The main event! We'll have the ceremony, cocktails, food, drinks, dancing and all the good stuff. The day will be relaxed, so don't worry too much about watching the clock.
Sunday — Take it easy
A chilled day to hang out, recover and enjoy the last bit of the weekend together before the venue closes at 19:30.
Getting There
We're getting married in the countryside, so we recommend hiring a car for the weekend. There are several airports within easy driving distance of the venue.
Toulouse
1h 15m by car
The easiest option from Ireland, with regular flights from Dublin with Ryanair and Aer Lingus.
Lourdes
1h 20m by car
A convenient alternative, although direct flights from Knock Airport don't seem to be operating anymore.
Carcassonne
2h by car
Another option from Dublin, with fairly regular direct flights.
Accommodation
We have limited accommodation available at La Métairie du Château itself, while there are also a number of places to stay in the surrounding villages and towns. We've put together a few options we've found below to give you a starting point, but you're very welcome to find somewhere that suits you. Gîtes de France, Airbnb, Booking.com and Abritel are all good places to look.

At the wedding venueThere are a limited number of spaces available to stay at the venue itself. Mostly these are shared rooms and some mezzanine type areas. Please let us know if you would like to stay here.

Parking
There is plenty of free parking at the venue. Once you arrive, you can park up and settle in — everything is happening in and around the venue.
Dress Code
We're keeping things smart but relaxed. Think wedding-ready rather than black tie — suits, dresses and cocktail-style outfits are all very welcome.

Outdoor ceremony
The ceremony will be outdoors, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. There may be grass and uneven ground.
Bring a layer
We'll be celebrating into the evening, and countryside evenings can get a little cooler, so a light jacket or wrap might come in handy.
Most importantly
Wear something you feel good in — we're much more interested in having you there than what you're wearing.
The Big Day
On Saturday the day will move from ceremony to cocktails, lunch and an afternoon of good food and good company before we get the music going in the evening. Here's the rough shape of the day — we'll keep things relaxed, so don't worry too much about watching the clock.

Food & Allergies
Food is going to be a big part of the day. We're having a traiteur — essentially a chef and catering team — cooking outdoors and serving a selection of seasonal dishes throughout the afternoon and evening.

The menu will focus on seasonal ingredients and relaxed outdoor cooking, with plenty of variety throughout the day.
Something for everyone
There will be a mixture of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, with plenty to enjoy even if you're not a big meat eater.
